Carstairs Memorial Arena

Friendly staff, it's a arena in Carstairs. It has a running track on upper level, good size dressing rooms. There is a food and drinks sold.decent inside seating and lots of seating around ice surface,

We held our staff Christmas Party upstairs. Excellent area to have a large function! Plenty of space! Nice kitchen to cook in or even just to warm things up in the oven.

Not a good experience at this place all around! My daughter was only 10 years old at the time and the host team Carstairs was beating my daughter team 7-1 and my daughter was on defence she kept trying her hardest too stop them and one girl on the other team couldnt get pass my my daughter defensive skills so she kept calling her LEATHER FACE I'm guessing it's because she is Indigenous. She told coaches and so did i and i even told the tournament director and after it was all said and done nothing happened and my daughter was told the team captain would say sorry for this we asked and requested that all we wanted was the girl who said the racial comment too apologize and they said she wont be saying sorry because she never said that and if anything my daughter made that word up i dunno even know how my daughter made that up and why she cried all the way home that night from the tourney only thing that was done is her own coach thought it be smart too give her the player of the game award which did nothing. We tried too take it too girls hockey Calgary and they said it was never recorded on the score sheet and the refs were suppose too to do that and stop the game at the time it happened. The refs were 14 and 15 years old which they probably would of not bin able too solved that kind of situation. HOCKEY IS FOR EVERYONE BUT NOT IN CARSTAIRS!!! Girls hovkey calgary said there was nothing that can be done which is weird cause i didn't know they were suppose too write racial comment made during the game on a score sheet for something too be done about it. Even Cassie Campbell was the coach on my daughter’s team and nothing was ever done about this. She grew up with her grandfather as her coach they won esso minor hockey week together and rate after he passed away this situation happened at the carstairs Christmas tourney. When situations happened like this even too me, he was the one who dealt with a lot of this stuff and its properly was always dealt with. HORRIBLE PLACE AND EQUALITY AND FAIRNESS IN ALL SPORTS!!!!

This is a great arena! I’d be more than happy to play here again! Being from Calgary I wish we had tourneys that were here instead of the middle of nowhere where they usually are!

Worked really well for the grad banquet. I have also gone to play poker in the upstairs room and it honestly smells pretty rank up their lol. Other than that, no complaints. I enjoyed playing hockey here at points as well.

Cold rink, heaters werent turned on. The rink itself is nice with large dressing rooms.

Beautiful little arena with very nice lobby and gives you that small town western Canadian passion for hockey fans and players young and old

As a rink guy i find myself in a lot of out of town rinks. This one was a really nice once, friendly people, debit at the food window (rare) and warm clean stands
